Obituary (from the Unionville Republican?)

Mary Jane Flanagan, daughter of Elizabeth and Degraphenried McKinley was born January 1, 1862 near Mendota, Missouri and departed this life, December 3, 1961 in Buffalo, Minn. near where she had resided with her daughter, Jess White and husband for thirty years at Rockford, Minnesota. She was the last of her immediate family to survive. She was preceded in death by her brothers, J. C. McKinley, Franklin, Isaac, Byron, Dee and Will and one sister, Mrs. Louisetta Brown.

On February 22, 1879 she was united in marriage to L. K. Flanagan and to this union were born eight children, Lula, Dana and an infant child preceded her in death. She leaves to morn her departure her daughter Jess White who together with daughters, Mary Selleck of Kalispel, Mont. cared for her the last three years of her life. Daisy Cook and Norma Flanders, Long Beach Calif.; one son, Robert, Huston, Texas, one son-in-law, L. E. White, Minn.; two daughers-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Flanagan, Unionville and Ned Flanagan, Texas; thirty two grandchildren and sixty, great grandchildren.

At an early age she united with the Unionville Christian Church upon its organization and remained a faithful member during her life. She was a student of the Bible as long as eyesight would permit. She filled her soul with blessed content of the Word of God. She kept in close contact with events in her area, of her old home and world events.

The funeral was conducted at Comstocks Funeral Home with Ronald Henwood officiating minister. Music was furnished by Marie Schick and the Comstock boys. The pallbearers were her grandsons. The body was tenderly laid to rest in the Unionville Cemetery.
