    The death of Mrs. Mary J. Hawk, wife of William J. Hawk, occurred Sunday afternoon at 8 o’clock at her home at Factory, of lung and heart trouble. The deceased was Kitchen and is the sister of Mrs. John Dean of Columbus and of Dr. B.F. Kitchen of Wellston. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Factory church, conducted by the pastor of the Athens circuit, D.D. Canfield. The remains were taken to Union for interment. Besides a husband who is advanced in years the deceased leaves several children, among whom are Mrs. H.F. McCoy of LaPorte, Texas, Dr. B.F. Hawk of Bluff City, Kansas, Lewis Hawk, now located in Mexico, and G. B and H.C. and John Hawk of Athens township. Among those who attended the funeral from a distance were, Mrs. Dr. McClure of Rocky Hill, Dr. B.F. Kitchen of Wellston, Mrs. Nan Peairs of Clarksburg, and Mrs. John Dean of Columbus.
