Funeral services for Mrs Kathryn Gregory Smith were conducted at the Memphis Funeral Home on Sat,Sept 5, with interment in Memorial Park Cem, Memphis, TN. Mrs Smith, 98, died Friday Sept 4th at Methodist Hospital Brownsville. She was formerly of Memphis and a resident of Bells nursing home. Mrs Smith was the widow of Ernest Smith Jr of Memphis and was retired from Smith Drug Store in Memphis in 1979. She was the oldest living member of Bellevue Baptist church in Cordova and was a member for over 70 yrs. She was a member of the daughters of the American revolution and numerous social and civil orgs in Memphis during her 40 yrs residence there. She leaves a brother, Charles S. Gregory of Mobile Ala., two daughters Nancy Jane Gallagher Davis of Memphis and Kathryn Dixon of Brownsville, two grandchildren Charles B. and Gregory Gallagher of Memphis and one great grandchild.
