    A Birthday Party.
The home of Miss Edith Crumrine, near Melrose, was the scene of one of the largest and most enjoyable socials that has transpired in that neighborhood this season, on the evening of November 28th, it being Miss Edith’s birthday. The following program was rendered:
Address, C. A. Sterner; piano solo, Miss Edith Crumrine; address, Ira M. Shue; piano duet, Misses Edith and Annie Crumrine.
After the rendition of the program all the friends were invited to the diningroom, where two peanuts were hidden. The person finding the peanut drew a prize. The lucky parties were Curvin Sterner and Mark Ziegler. The former received a bandana handkerchief, the latter a Japanese lantern. By this time the table had been bountifully laden with the necessaries of life, of which all partook with zest and enjoyment.
