Levi J. Gobrecht, 85, husband of Mrs. Bertha Bucher Gobrecht, Hanover R.1, died Wednesday at 3:40 p.m. at his residence.
A native of Adams County, he was a son of the late John and Emma (Stonesifer) Gobrecht, and retired 18 years ago from the then Masemer's Bakery. His first wife, Mrs. Edith Crumrine Gobrecht, died in 1936.
Mr. Gobrecht belonged to Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover. A veteran of World War I, he held membership in Harold H. Bair Post 14 and Hanover Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving, besides his wife, are: three children by his first marriage: Mrs. Ellis Roller and John E. Gobrecht, both of Hanover, and William H. Gobrecht, Hanover R. 1; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a step daughter, Mrs. Maurice Smith, Hanover; nine brothers and sisters, Mrs. Della Reigle and Mrs. Ruth Houck, both of Hanover; William Gobrecht, Hanover R. 2; Emory Gobrecht, Clayton Gobrecht, Edward Gobrecht, Joseph Gobrecht, Mrs. Emma Weisensale and Mrs. Edna Sterner, all of Hanover.
