A transcription of her PCC will: In the Name of God Amen I Mary Gill of Stourbridge in the County of Worcester widow being in perfect Health and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say First I will and direct that all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences together with the charges of the probate and Execution of this my Will be in the first place fully paid and Satisfied by my Executors hereinafter named also I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Jeremiah Gill all that my Freehold Messuage Tenement or Dwelling House wherein I now live with the [...] warehouses Barn Stable Outbuildings Gardens and other appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining situate and being in or near the Corn Market in Stourbridge aforesaid To hold the same unto and to the use of my said Son Jeremiah Gill and of his Heirs and assigns for ever Subject nevertheless to and chargeable with the Payment of the Sum of two hundred pounds which I give and bequeath to my Son in law Francis Witton of Stourbridge aforesaid Maltster and Mary his wife or to the Survivor of them and also of the like Sum of two hundred pounds which I give and bequeath to my Son in law Thomas Hornblower of Stourbridge aforesaid Clothier and Phebe his Wife or to the Survivor of them within six Months next after my Decease which premisses I do hereby Subject and charge with the payment of the said two respective Sums of two hundred pounds to the said Legatees as aforesaid and direct that my said Son Jeremiah Gill do pay the same accordingly also I give devise and bequeath unto my said Son Jeremiah Gill all that my other Freehold Messuage Tenement or Dwelling House with the warehouses Buildings and appurtenances to the same belonging situate and being in or near the High Street in Stourbridge aforesaid and now or late in the possession of Mr William Tilt chandler or his undertenants To hold the same unto and to the use of my said Son Jeremiah Gill and of his Heirs and assigns for ever Subject nevertheless to and chargeable with the payment of the Sum of Forty pounds which I give and bequeath to the said Frances Witton and Mary wife or to the Survivor of them and also the like Sum of Forty pounds which I give and bequeath to the said Thomas Hornblower and Phebe his wife or to the Survivor of them within Six Months next after my decease which last mentioned premisses I do hereby Subject and charge with the payment of the said two respective Sums of Forty pounds to the said Legatees as aforesaid and direct that my said Son Jeremiah Gill Do pay the same accordingly also I give and bequeath unto my two Daughters the said Mary Witton and Phebe Hornblower all my Cloaths and wearing apparel of all Sorts to be equally divided between them share and share alike and as to for and concerning all the rest residue of my Goods Chattels ready Monies Debts and Securities for Money Household Goods Furniture Plate China and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever the same may be and not otherwise by this will given and Disposed of as aforesaid I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto betweena nd amongst my said Son Jeremiah Gill and my said two Daughters Mary Witton and Phebe Hornblower equally share and share alike to and for his her and their own respective use and benefit absolutely and my will is and I do hereby Direct that if any Dispute Difference or controversy shall at any time or times after my Decease happen to arise between my Executors and Legatees or any or either of them touching or concerning the Devises and bequests herein before made or the Division of my Estate and Effects or the Management and Execution of this my Will or any other Matter or thing relating thereto then such Disputes Difference or Controversy when and so often as any shall happen to arise if not adjusted and Solved within four Days next after the same shall so happen, shall be referred to and finally ordered and determined by Mr Serjeant Hornblower of Kidderminster in the County of Worcester and Mr Joseph Hornblower of Birmingham in the County of Warwick or the Survivor of them and in case the said Sarjeant Hornblower and Joseph Hornblower or the Survivor of them shall not end and determine the same within twenty days next after such Dispute difference or controversy shall be so referred to them then the same shall be referred to the Reverend Thomas Taylor Clerk of Rowington Green near London who shall finally end and determine the same without any Suit at Law or in Equity being instituted between the parties for that purpose and in case any or either of them my said Executors and Legatees shall not acquiesce and be bound by such determination or determinations to be made as aforesaid then I will and direct that the Devises and bequests as is herein before given and devised to him her or them so refusing to acquiesce and be bound by any such determination or determinations to be made as aforesaid shall be void and of none effect and the same devises and bequests shall go over to and be enjoyed by him her or them who shall so acquiesce and be bound as aforesaid and by his her and their respective Heirs Executors administrators and assigns for ever and lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son Jeremiah Gill and my said Sons in law Frances Witton and Thomas Hornblower Joint Executors of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other will and wills by me at any time or times heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Mary Gill the Testatrix have to this my last will and Testament written upon two Sheets of paper to the first thereof put my hand and to the last my hand and Seal this twenty third day of December in the [...] year of the Reign
