Obituary copied from her Find-a-Grave memorial page: Democrat Argus - Caruthersville, Missouri - Friday, January 26, 1962 Services were held at the Assembly of God Church in Risco Friday, January 12 for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jackson, 75, former Pemiscot county resident, who died at the Lucy Lee hospital in Poplar Bluff on January 10. The Rev. Ernest Puckett of Malden officiated and burial was in Dry Bayou cemetery. H.S. Smith Funeral Home service. Born at Owensboro, Ky. on June 9, 1886, she was the daughter of Wayne and Judy Cheshire and moved with her parents to Gayoso when she was 16 years old. She was a member of the Dry Bayou Baptist church. On August 10, 1904, at Dry Bayou, she was married to Walter Edward Jackson, who preceded her in death in 1953. She leaves three sons, Dee Jackson, Risco, Paul Jackson, Benton Harbor and Carl Jackson, Hartford, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Mannings, Mrs. Dovie Duckworth and Mrs. Genevieve Newingham, all of Risco; two brothers, George Cheshire, Wardell and John Cheshire, Bakersfield, Calif.; 29 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
