Obituary copied from Dee's Find-a-Grave memorial page: Dee H. Jackson, 77, of Coloma, died Saturday at Berrien General Hospital, Berrien Center. The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at Hartford Church of God. Burial will be in Watervliet Cemetary. Friends may call Tuesday between 2 and 9 p.m. at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford and from 11 a.m. until the funeral Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Leader Dog School or Michigan Association of the Blind. Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 7, 1913 in Hayti, MO. He was formerly employed by Auto Specialties Manufacturing., St. Joseph. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Jackson of Dowagiac and Doral Jackson of Watervliet; seven daughters, Mrs. Edward (Shelby) Merick of Watervliet, Mary Cantrell of Hartford, Mrs. Primo (DeLois) Capovilla Jr. of Hartford, Mrs. Michael (Paulette) Kiser of Watervliet, Mrs. Frank (Kim) Selter of Coloma and Mrs. Michael (Linnie) VanArkel of Eau Claire; 28 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Carl, both of Benton Harbor; and two sisters, Mrs. David (Dovie) Duckworth of Risco, MO, and Mrs Jess (Jenny) Whitaker of Silver Lake, Ind. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Fanetta Shipley, July 23, 1984; and one daughter, Barbara, July 20, 1985.
