MRS. MARY AULT CALLED TO REST LATE WEDNESDAY-
Mrs. Mary Savannah Ault, 68, wife of Sanford Ault residing seven and a
half miles southwest of Elwood, died last night at 11 o'clock of a
complication of ailments. She had been in failing health for the past year
and relatives and friends were aware that this good life was nearing an
end.
She was one of twelve children born to George and Louisa Carpenter. She
was born December 15, 1861 on the farm where the family now resides.
Practically all her life was spent in the community south-west of Elwood.
On January 5, 1882, she was inited in marriage to Sanford Ault and to this
happy union were born two children. Mrs, Ault was a devoted mother and
wife. She enjoyed a wide circle of friends and her passing away will bring
sadness to many hearts.
Besides the husband she is survived by: one son, Guy Ault of Elwood; two
sisters, Mrs. Emma Ault and Mrs. Viola Ault and one brother, Joseph
Carpenter, all residing in the Aroma community. Funeral services will be
conducted at the Aroma M.E. church, of which she was an active member,
Saturday morning at 10 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. A.E. Bunner and burial
will be made in the Aroma cemetery. Elwood Call Leader, Thursday 5
