Mary Calvert was born on February 18, 1917 in Bath, Kentucky, United States. [3][2] Her parents were Omer Calvert and Ella Wilson. [2]

She married Herbert W Wood (1912–1971) [2]

    MARY DEE WOOD, 79, of Ohio 122, Camden, died Monday, Dec. 9, at Oxford View Nursing Home in Oxford. Born Feb. 18, 1917, in Kentucky, was the daughter of Omar and Ella (Wilson) Calvert. She was a member of the United First Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wood.

    Survivors include four daughters, Mary Jo Wilson and Stella Wood, both of Camden, Peggy Elam of Eaton, and Joyce Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Calvert of Atlanta, Ga. and Everett Calvert of Lexington, Ky.; and a sister, Lela Hamilton of Lexington, Ky.

    She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren; three brothers, Russell, Roger and Conway Calvert; and two sisters, Mamie Wells and Gracie Mae Calvert.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the United First Church of God in Beechwood, with the Rev. James Profitt officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Gratis.
