== Biography ==CPL Walter Calvert was born on January 12, 1915 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. [3] His parents were Omer Calvert and Ella Wilson. [3]

https://www.wikitree.com/photo.php/8/82/Photos-188.gif He enlisted in the Army on 4 Jul 1942 and served with the 262 Ordnance Maintenance Company until his death on 12 Jun 1943 in North Africa. He was brought home and laid to rest with military honors in the North Middletown Cemetery in North Middletown, Kentucky.[1]
