Death Removes Mrs. Mary Hale

Mrs. Mary P. Hale, aunt of E. Wightman of Chico, died at the latter's home yesterday morning, shortly after midnight, her death closing a long and most trying illness. Mrs. Hale's malady had been of years duration. Two months ago she came to Chico from the home of her daughter in Marin county.

Deceased was a native of California, and was one of the first white children born in Mendocino county, where her parents resided in early days and for many years thereafter. She was aged 52 years, her last birthday being February 14th.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs. T. D. Minto of Corte Madera, Marin county, Cal., and a son, L.R. Hale of Tacoma, Wash. The remains will be sent to Tacoma for interment, and the daughter, who was with her at the time of her passing will go to Tacoma.

(Medical):About 1876 had Typhoid Fever and lost all of her hair
