Martin lived in Virginia. He later moved to Tennessee. Martin was listed on the Campbell County, Virginia Tax list for 1788, 1790, 1791, 1792, 1793, 1794, 1795, 1796, 1797, 1798, 1799, 1801, 1802, 1803, 1805, 1806, 1807 and 1808. In 1830 Martin was living with his family in Morgan County, Tennessee. The settlement of Martin Rector's estate went as follows: William C Kington and Rhody his wife, David Summers and Charlotte his wife of Morgan County, Tennessee, Matthew Williams and Judy his wife of Rhea County, Tennessee, Isaac England and Rebecca his wife of McCoupin County, Illinois, were heirs of Martin Rector, dec'd formerly of Morgan County,Tennessee. Martin Rector had son, David M and daughter, Polly, both minors. Martin died March 11, 1832 leaving besides his children, a widow named Sarah. Richard Oliver was administrator of his estate.
