    Martha L. Trundle, 80, retired postal clerk and a native of Big Cabin, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at the Mayes County Medical Center.

    Mrs. Trundle was born on July 10, 1919, in Big Cabin, the daughter of William Ernest and Maude (Lauchner) Campbell. She received her formal education in the Big Cabin school system. She and Robert Gorden Trundle were united in marriage on Jan. 5, 1940. (sic) in the Vinita Methodist Church, and made their home in Big Cabin. Mr. Trundle preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1993.

    Mrs. Trundle worked for the Pryor Powder Plant, in the family restaurant, as a postal clerk for the Big Cabin Post Office. Since her retirement in July, 1982, she had worked and been active in her membership of the Green County Christian Church, been a first responder and dispatcher for the REMO Ambulance Service, a member of the Big Cabin County Club, Big Cabin Senior Citizens Group, Wauhillau Women's Club, local women's quilting club, gardening, loving her grandchildren, and enjoying life with her sisters and family.

    She is survived by: a daughter, Joyce Raincrow, and husband Jack of Big Cabin; two sons, Tommy Trundle and his wife Sue, and Clay Trundle, all of Big Cabin; five sisters, Della Harlan, Thelma Hentz, Helen Haney and Faye Borgstrom, of Big Cabin, and Pauline Lassiter of Tulsa; one grandson; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents, a sister, Stella Chambers, nine brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, and a great-niece.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the Luginbuel Funeral Home with Brother Roy Miller and Brother Justin Turner officiating. Burial will be on the family plot of the Big Cabin Cemetery under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
