Name Martha Bogle
Gender Female
Birth? 1719
Christening[1] 28 May 1719
Marriage 18 Jan 1741 to Colin Dunlop
Death[1] 1768

Colin Dunlop married 18jan1741 Martha Bogle of Hamilton Farm, Glasgow (Latter Day Saints). Martha was christened 28may1719 and died 1768 ("Provosts of Glasgow from 1609 to 1832"). Martha was daughter of John Bogle and Janet Miller (daughter of Matthew Miller of Glenlee, Kirkcudbrightshire) (Provosts of Glasgow). Martha was, according to stirnet, based on "Old country houses of the old Glasgow gentry", daughter of John Bogle of Hamilton Farm (ca.1679-1752) and ? Murdoch (daughter of George Murdoch, Provost of Glasgow) and granddaughter of John Bogle of Hamilton Farm and ? Millar (daughter of Matthew Millar of Glenlee); this seems doubtful.

Portraits of Colin Dunlop of Carmyle (1706-1777), Virginia merchant, and his wife Martha Bogle or Dunlop of Hamilton Farm, painted by Gavin Hamilton, were lent to Old Glasgow Exhibition 1894 by Colin R. Dunlop. The handsome town residence of Colin (b. 1706) still stood in 1894 on the south side of Argyll St., the 2nd east from Dunlop St. (catalogue).
