- ↑ Madge wrote over 30 books on History and Genealogy in Alabama. She helped to categorize and enumerate the people buried in over 200 cemeteries in Jefferson County for which no records existed. Worked exhaustively to preserve history throughout Jefferson County.
She was an accompished Archaeologist and Paleontologist as well.
She was the Archivist for Canterbury United Methodist Church and, in fact, her last book was a detailed history of the Church called, "From a Brush Arbor".
Over 250 people attented her memorial service at Canterbury and I spoke the eulogy. I deeply miss her.
Mother passed on after her 3rd fight against cancer.
