- ↑ Fred was driving home from work when he had the heart attack. He was found dead at the front porch of an apartment in a complex in Mountain Brook on Montclair Road, apparently trying to get some help. His gold wristwatch was missing - he had received it from his wife Gladys on their 50th wedding anniversary.
- ↑ Granddad had intented to leave his gold pocket watch to me. It had also belonged to his father, Arthur Lewis Davis. It was left to me sice I was also a "Lewis, though mine is spelled Louis.
After his death in 1970, the watch was given to my cousin Dave. Just recently, I had told Dave that the watch was to have been mine and he has agreed to give it to me. I have ow received it (May, 2008).
