References
  1. Fred was driving home from work when he had the heart attack. He was found dead at the front porch of an apartment in a complex in Mountain Brook on Montclair Road, apparently trying to get some help. His gold wristwatch was missing - he had received it from his wife Gladys on their 50th wedding anniversary.
  2. Granddad had intented to leave his gold pocket watch to me. It had also belonged to his father, Arthur Lewis Davis. It was left to me sice I was also a "Lewis, though mine is spelled Louis.
After his death in 1970, the watch was given to my cousin Dave. Just recently, I had told Dave that the watch was to have been mine and he has agreed to give it to me. I have ow received it (May, 2008).
