Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - May 10, 2003 PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Marie L. Moses, 92, of Prairie du Chien, died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Prairie Health Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Prairie du Chien, with the Rev. James Warosh, S.J., officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Monona, Iowa. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where there will be a wake scripture service at 7 p.m. She was born on March 19, 1911, in Postville, Iowa, daughter of John and Mamie Muchow. She married Lawrence Moses on Oct. 7, 1930, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monona; he preceded her in death on May 9, 2001. Together they farmed in the Monona and Prairie du Chien area. They also owned and operated a tavern in Galt, Iowa, for a number of years. Surviving are two sons, Don Moses, of Hanover Park, Ill., and Darwin (Marion) Moses, of Garnavillo, Iowa; a sister, Margaret Levy, of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
