GAUDET) around 1727 to Michel BERGERON dit de NANTES, son of Barthe'lemy & Genevieve SERREAU de SAINT-AUBIN, widower of ---. She died before 15 Jan 1748 [sic, was on 1766 & 1769 censuses in St. James, LA]. CENSUS: Lillian C. Bourgeois, CABANOCEY, THE HISTORY, CUSTOMS AND FOLKLORE OF ST. Marie DUGAS, widow BERGERON, age 55 [so born 1711 or 1712], listed in household of Genevieve BERGERON, widow d'AMOUR, with Anne her daugher, age 17 [not this woman?] Also on p. 177: Marie DUGAS, widow BERGERON, age 59, mother-in-law of head of household #106 Pierre HEBERT with wife Marie BERGERON, age 22. Also listed is a nephew Izidore DAMONS [D'AMOURS], age 7. !BIRTH-MARRIAGE: Bona Arsenault, HISTOIRE ET GENEALOGIE DES ACADIENS; 1625-1810; Ottawa, Editions Lemeac, 1978, 6 vols.; p. 531 (Port Royal) & p. 2418 (Louisiana, husband's entry); own copy. Married around 1725 to Michel BERGERON dit de Nantes, his 2nd marriage. She was Marie DUGAS, daughter of Abraham & Marie LANDRY; twelve children. In 1766 she was a widow at St. James on the Mississippi with some member of her family [sic]. In 1769 she lived at lot number 106 on the west bank of the Mississippi, in St. James parish [LA]. !BIRTH-CHILDREN: If she is the child of these parents, she must have been born later. Last child born 1759, when she would have been about 56 years old! Since children were born from around 1726 to 1759, most likly she was born about 1712 [1st child at age 14, last at age 47].
