Personal History

Mary Anna Curzon-Howe was born 23 July 1848.[1] After her marriage to the Marquess of Hamilton, she was styled Marchioness of Hamilton. Upon her husband's succession to the Dukedom in 1885, she was titled Duchess of Abercorn.

Death and Probate

Mary, dowager Duchess of Abercorn, died 10 May 1929, in Mayfair, co. London, England[3] (registered in the district of St George Hanover Square),[2] and was buried in the Baronscourt Parish Church graveyard, co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.[1][4]

On 1 July 1929,[3] in London, administration was granted to her son the Hon. Claud Nigel Hamilton CMG; effects were in the amount of £3169 11s 3d.
