A descendant sent Jillaine Smith a scan of pages from a family bible that belonged to Mary Eliza Brownell (1836-1928). In it, MEB records her name and when she got the Bible (apparently), her marriage (to John McCormick) as well as the birth of herself and her husband. Underneath, a second hand has written the names and birth dates of her siblings. The descendant who sent me the copy says that this second hand strongly resembles the handwriting of her grandmother (and daughter of Mary Eliza).
