Azubah, through the second marriage of her grandfather Amzi Doolittle to Hannah Miller Barber, would have been something akin to step-first-cousins with Amzi Doolittle Barber. These "cousins" both end up in Ashtabula, OH by 1860, arriving about the same time. Did they go together?

My Mother and the women in her family had kept written records that go as far back as Azubah and Jonathan Brownell. The only thing she said about her (Azubah's) father was that he was a traveling minister and that he was a "ladies man".

This is taken from an old piece of paper (I believe my great grandmother (Ida Mary Dix) wrote it): Johnathan Brownell, Oct 11, 1792, Hoosick, Renssilaer Co. died May 8, 1875, Kelloggsville, Ashtabula Co., Ohio. Azubah Hicks, born March 2, 1796 (it doesn't say where, I originally thought in Ohio but now believe it was in New York State, somewhere.), died Apr 6, 1881, Kelloggsville, Ashtabula Co., Ohio. (LDS shows in the 1880 U.S. Census that she was, 87 yrs old, widowed and living with her son, Charles E. Brownell, her name was spelled Azabah. Census place was Sheffield, Ashtabula, Ohio. Family History Library Film #1254992, NA Film #T9-0992, Page #606A)

On the other side of this old yellowing piece of paper written in pencil is the children: Asa b. 1814 June 28, Lovina/Lavina b. 1816 March 11, Moses b.1818 Jany 24, Lucina b. 1820 Jany 18, Alvah b. 1822 Feb 12, Lorana b. 1824 Jan 22, Hiram b. 1826 Apr 7, Cortland b. 1828 Feb 13, Ruth b. 1830 March 11, Henry b. 1832 May 22, Johnathan b. 1834 March 2, Mary E. b. 1836 Nov 21, Charles C. b. 1840 Aug 11, Julia A. b. 1843 July 11
