Margaret LOGIE was born 1 nov 1811 in Barony parish, possibly Greenfield (R. Huggard); her father was William, Captain, Logie (scotlandspeople website). On the day of her 16th birthday, she married Andrew Wilson WALKER 1nov1827 in Colombo, Ceylon. Andrew was in the Ceylon civil service, according to his daughter Katherine’s tombstone. They did not sail back to Britain with Margaret’s parents. Margaret apparently died 1852 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England (R. Huggard). In 1851 Margaret and Andrew (b.1811, Edinburgh, late of Ceylon Civil service) were at 2 Taunton Villas, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with Andrew Geo. Walker (b. 1840, Edinburgh) and Katherine (b. 1846, Colombo, Ceylon), their children, and a nephew, Edward Walker (b. 1843 Dover, Kent) (census).
