Railroad Constructor and Resident of Marshalville Died Very Suddenly
Mr. Critchfield has a wide reputation as a railroad constructor and hadcharge of the construction of the new C.A. and C. Railroad yards atOrrville at the time of his death.
He is survived by a wife and six children. The funeral will be held atMarshallville Tuesday afternoon at 3 oćlock."

Barberton, March 25 - Saturday afternoon saw the death of anotherone of Barbertonś well known citizens, Morris Critchfield, of 144Huston street. He had been ill two weeks from kidney and stomachtrouble. He was 47 years old and had lived in Barberton 13 years, duringthe greater part of which time he was engaged as foreman on theBarberton belt line. Recently he had been engaged in railroadconstruction work in Orrville. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and a charter member ofthe Modern Woodmen of America. His funeral was held under the auspicesof the latter organization Tuesday afternoon at 1 oćlock from thehouse. Burial at Marshallville. - Akron Beacon."
- ↑ "...Mr. Critchfield was born in Knox county... When 23 years old he cameto Marshallville and soon afterward was happily united in marriage withMiss Lodema Powell. To this union were born six children, one daughterbeing now with the father in the house of many mansions.
A companion, two sons, three daughters, a sister, two brothers anda large circle of friends remain to mourn his departure. Some 14 yearsago the family moved from Marshallville to Barberton of which place hewas a citizen at the time of his death. At an early age Mr. Critchfieldwas converted and joined the Methodist church, and taking an active partin the church service leading the singing in the mid week and Sundayservices for many years. At Marshallville he and his wife united withthe Evangelical church holding their membership in that church untilthey moved to Barberton were they united with the United Brethren churchof which he remained a faithful and honored member until his death. Hewas a man of a clean and pure life, a good citizen, thoughtful andtender husband, fond and loving father and a christian gentle man..."
