Facts and Events
The Bleuer family moved to Wadenswil, probably in the 1830's. In 1851/52 the Bleuers, including two brothers and families, a single brother, at least three sisters, including Magdalena and her husband Nicholas Imhof and two of their children and the Bleuer's mother emigrated. They sailed from LeHaure and arrived at New York City, then moved to Tonawanda, New York (near Buffalo) where they stayed for two or three years. In 1854-55 they moved west to Rock Island, Illinois.
