  3.   Citing The Owl of Dec 1904, p. 354, the Wing Family Website (see [1]) says of the her father's will of 1697 that it actually said Lydia Abbott, not Lydia Mott as often is reported. After her first husband Thomas Hambleton died in 1677, she and two sons Daniel and Thomas lived in some poverty, until she married a John Abbott, having a daughter Lydia in 1687 and are mentioned in a land grant in 1688.
  4. According to the Wing Family Website (see [2]) Lydia was a witness at the 1704 wedding of Gershom Gifford and Deborah Bowerman, but presumed dead by 1709 when her husband John Abbott was granted 10 acres of land by the town of Sandwich.
