born November 14, 1656, born at Sandwich, moved to Rochester, Plymouth Co., MA...seventeen miles from Sandwich. John married Martha Spooner.Martha Spooner was the daughter of William Spooner and Hannah Pratt, daughter of Joshua Pratt and Bathsheba Unknown. In fact, John Wing's younger, half-sister, Experience Wing would marry Martha Spooner's brother, Samuel Spooner (see their history farther down). Another Spooner brother, Ebenezer Spooner would marry Mercy Branch . Mercy's brother, Peter Branch would marry Hannah Lincoln, the great aunt of President Abraham Lincoln.
