There was some confusion as to the wife of Robert Gregg/Gragg Sr during the time of the writing of George Robert Gragg's "Gragg Descent" (1978), he was simply stating empirical fact. But it is widely accepted today that his wife was 'Lydia Alice Harrison', and that they were married About 1753. I add the notes as historical markers, as they were significant at the time. We must also understand that there is absolutely NO reason to discount (out of hand) word of mouth tradition, unless it is fantastical in nature (i.e. befitting a tall-tail). Simply because we don't have documentation to back up the traditional information, in no way diminishes the historicity of said oral tradition.
