Lucy Pierce, born 1808, was married to Rev. Frederic Henry Hedge, D.D., September 7, 1830, and lived with her family in Brookline, Mass. Her husband was pastor of the First Church of Brookline, Mass. the same church where his father ministered for more than fifty years. He was also a professor in the Theological School at Cambridge and editor of the Christian Examiner, published in Boston.
