He moved to Indiana about 51 years ago, was married to Mary Louisa Rosenbery Aug. 14, 1860. They had 5 children, 4 of whom with his wife preceded him in death. Irvin, his oldest son surviving, lives in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Raber was married to Lucinda Schlichtenmyer March 23, 1878. He engaged in hotel business in Wolcottville shortly after his first marriage. After disposing of this business he engaged in general merchandise. He moved to Kendallville about 24 years ago and was engaged by Mr. Campbell as bookkeeper. When his health failed he accepted a position as traveling salesman for Walks Bros. of Covington, Ky., which position he held for 14 years. He died April 15. United with the Church of Christ in 1898. He leaves a wife, son, granddaughter and 2 sisters. Burial, Lake View Cemetery. ^ 5-9-1907 Rumple John, 81, died Saturday at his home in Kendallville following a stroke of apoplexy. Surviving are 2 sons, Clarence and John Jr., both of Fostoria, O.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Emily Dunn and Mrs. Ida Taylor, both of Petersburg, Fla.; 8 grandchildren. Funeral was Monday at L. E. Berhalter Funeral Home. Burial was in a cemetery at Fostoria, O. + 1-?-1936 Rumple Lucinda, 76, widow of John Rumple, died at her home in Kendallville Sunday. Surviving are 2 brothers, Elias of near Brimfield, and John Schlichtenmyer of Allen Twp; 4 stepchildren. Funeral was Tuesday from the home.
