20 Apr 1912, p 2 - Miss Louisa Spear gave a party at Smith College, on Thursday evening, April 11, where she announced her engagement to Arthur E. Wilson of Jamestown, New York. By a subterfuge Miss Spear succeeded in being late, though hostess. Entering in hat and gloves in an apparent hurry, she drew off the glove from her left hand and dispensed favours containing little hearts where on her name was coupled with that of Mr. Wilson.
