    1 Apr 1977, p 4 - HELEN M. SPEAR ADA - Helen N. Spear, 90, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday at San Antonio Professional Nursing Home, Kenton, following a three-month illness. Born Aug 23, 1886, in Sodus, N.Y., she was a daughter of Mahlon and Amelia Olmsted Spear. Surviving is an adopted son, Dr. Oscar Darlington. She was a retired teacher and lecturer and was a member of Park Presbyterian Church, Newark, N.Y., Research Club of Ada and Smith College Alumnae Association. She served with the Red Cross in France during World War I. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bassinger Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev. Michael Mahoney officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by Kenneth W. Preston, Local funeral director.
