Palmer, 96, a resident of the Christian Nursing Home at Lincoln, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 1988, in the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. Graveside services were scheduled for 10 this morning in the Meadow Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Lester Wence officiating. The Mass Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forman Library or the Manito Historical Society. Born Sept. 29, 1891, in Forest City, she was the daughter of Fuller and Lula Onstott Jackson. She married Frank C. Palmer Jan. 14, 1917, in Forest City. He died Nov. 9, 1964. Surviving are one son, Engle Ben Palmer of Manito; one grandson; and one sister, Prudence Folkman of Canton. One son and five brothers also preceded her in death. Mrs. Palmer, formerly of Manito, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Forman Library Club, Manito Historical Society and the United Methodist Church and its woman's group. References
