L. C. HAWK (Louis Hawk son of William and Mary Jane Hawk)

L.C. Hawk, a former resident Athens County resident was killed on January 16, near Ft. Worth, Texas, by being run over by a train. He was conductor on the Denver & Ft. Worth railway and in attempting to board his train he fell between the cars, the wheels passing over both legs near the body. Death occurred a few hours after the accident. He was buried on the following Saturday, January 18, at Ft. Worth. He was forty-six years of age and had been in Texas about eight years. He was married and was the son of W.J. Hawk (remainder is unreadable)
