Lona Kimble McMillan Pope, 91 - Austin TX (03/25/2008) Lona Kimble McMillin Pope, 91, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Calhoun, died March 19, 2008 in Austin. She lived in Memphis, Tennessee for a number of years where she was a beautician before retiring. Lona was a member of the Decatur-Trinity Christian Church in Bartlett, Tennessee. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry McMillin. She was loved by her family, and at the time of her passing, was surrounded by three generations of her family. She is survived by her only child, Richard "Dick" McMillan and his wife Joy of Austin; nieces Janet Campbell of Bartlett, TN and Norma of Georgia; four grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by three husbands; Harry McMillin, Kerney Parker and Fred Pope. She was the last surviving child of the late Albert Clifton and Rosa Jane Kelley Kimble, who lived off Bull River Road. Her deceased sisters, Letha Wright, Lennie Wright, Charlette "Lottie" Dickey Vanhorn, Lora Vaughan. Her deceased brothers, Otha, Joy, John and Bill Kimble. Graveside rites will be conducted Thursday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements by Stump Funeral Home.
