Lewis & Sally Palmer Queen They moved to northern Georgia for a period of time. A Lewis Queen was living in Union County, Georgia in 1850.

1836 - said to have bought land in the John’s Creek area of Jackson Co., NC., then later have moved to GA, and to have worked in the gold mines there. 1845 - judging from the ages of his children, and their stated birthplaces on the 1860 census (see below), he moved his family to GA around 1844-46.
