Levi Beard, 84, prominent Marion citizen, died at the home of his son, Elmer Beard, 815 West Third St, Sunday at 10:45 a.m., following a short illness. Funeral services will be held Wed at 1:30 p.m. at the residence with the Rev. Harry R. Ford of the First Christiqan church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Mr. Beard was a member of the Carpenters union. Surviving are two sons, Elmer, at whose home he lived, and Earl of Indianapolis, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Robinson and Mrs. Henry Snyder, both of Marion. Marion Chronicle approx December 24 1928 Funeral for Levi Beard Wednesday Funeral servcies for Levi Beard, aged 84 , well known and preeminent resident of this city who died Sunday morning at the home of his son, Elmer Beard 815 West Third Street, will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Harry R. Ford, pastor of the First Christian church will officiate. Interment is to be made in the IOOF cemetery. Untill a number of years ago, when Mr. Beard was forced to retire from activie business because of his advanced age, he was one of the best known carpenters and contractors oin the city. Surviving are two sons, Elmer of this city and Earl of Indianapolis and two dtrs, Mrs. Frank Robison and Mrs. Henry Snyder both of this city. References
