    LeRoy H. Rex, 87, of Slatington died Friday, Oct. 2, in his home. He was the husband of Violet A.M. (Kleintop) Rex. They were married for 65 years last April.

    He was employed in various departments at the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, for 44 years, retiring in 1973.
    Born in Rextown, he was a son of the late Ralph and Elda (Wanamaker) Rex.

    He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington.

    He was a member of Emerald Star Hose Company No. 1, and Springside Fire Company and Allen O. Delke Post 16, American Legion, both in Slatington.

    He was a member of the Slatington Church Bowling League for 40 years, and a member of the Coplay Saengerbund, where he bowled for 20 years.
