    Married April 22, 1933

    Violet A.M. Rex, 94, of Slatington, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in her home surrounded by her loving family where she resided with her daughter Carol, grandson Craig and his wife Lisa Remaley. She was the wife of the late LeRoy A. Rex who passed away in 1998. Born in Walutport, she was the daughter of the late Lydia R. (Hahn) and Oliver Kleintop Sr. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Slatington, the former World War Mothers group and the SlatingtonSenior Citizens. Violet was also an avid bingo player who enjoyed playing at the Emerald and Diamond Fire Companies.

    Services: 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hour, 10-11 a.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
