I think I am part of Zent family that came from Germany, then Pa and Ohio. My great great grandfather was Leonard Zent born in Morrow Cty, Ohio, in 1826, married Serena Truax and had one son named William Franklin Zent who migrated to Arizona where my grandfather was born and all my aunts and uncles.

If you think that this is part of the Zent family that you have been researching, please let me know and and I will send you what I have to see if it checks with what you have found. I am researching this for my grandson so any information you have will help me.

Thanks for your time.

Hello,

I read your e-mail on the root webb message board. I am trying to trace our family back and have run in to a dead end.

The information I have found (on Arizona Dept of Health and family search came up with this:

Leonard Zent born in Morrow County Ohio in 1826 and married Serena Truax in 1851. They had one son William Franklin Zent born in 1852 in Mt Gilead, Ohio. William Franklin married Ellen Reese and they had at least 10 children. My grandfather was one of them. William Leonard Zent and my father was William Leonard Zent, Jr. They were in Arizona when William Franklin's childred where born except one in Ohio and 2 in Sonora Mexico. My father was also born in Mexico in 1907. If you have any information on Leonard Zent I would appreciate the help. I remember as a child hearing something about Pa and maybe changing the last name.

Thanks again
