Subj: Zent family history Date:01/31/2001 12:44:25 PM Pacific Standard Time From:azent@@mail.arc.nasa.gov (Aaron Zent) To:delijim@@aol.com Jim: Came across some of your postings on the Zent family in Ohio during the 1800's. I am descended through William (1833-1917) who is buried in Etna Green Indiana. His offspring include Samual Claude, 1874 - 1951, Claude's son Alva Zent 1898 - 1959, Alva's son Billy Zent b. 1927, and myself, Aaron 1959 - Not Dead Yet. I have a bunch of additional information and I am hoping that I can trace my ancestry backwards as well. Williams' parentage goes back through one or more John's. Evidently, *every* branch of the family had a string of Johns, and it seems almost impossible to disentangle them from here. I think that there is a connection between John, (born August 23, 1791 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and died May 05, 1867 in Ohio. He married ELIZABETH DORSEY April 12, 1814 in Richland County, Ohio), and William (see above), but I can't sort it all out. I'd appreciate any information you could share on early 19th century Zents in Ohio. I can certainly pick up my branch from William, if you still lack that information.
