Foster, Leonard Lee Columbia City Post - Whitley County, Indiana Monday April 5, 1954

Leonard Lee Foster, 73, died at 4:15 Sunday afternoon at his residence at 309 South Oak street. He had been in failing health for 21 years and seriously ill for the past two weeks. He was born in Thorncreek township May 25, 1880 and was a son of H. L. and Artha Jackson Foster. Mr. Foster spent most of his life as a farmer in Thorncreek township, moving to Columbia City 15 years ago. On December 24, 1905 he was married to Leota Goodrich at the residence of the bride four miles west of Columbia City. In addition to Mrs. Foster, survivors include a son Dewitt Foster, Boston, Mass., a daughter, Mrs. Keith Walker, Columbia City, one sister, Mrs. Norma Souder, Columbia City, and two brothers, Otto of Columbia City and Edward of near Columbia City.
