[edit] ObituaryDAY Leonard "Skip" Day, age 80, of Westerville, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012. Air Force veteran of Korean War. Retired as a Lieutenant with the Westerville Police Department after 31 years of service. Also worked 16 years at Roush Hardware and was a member of The Church of The Messiah, U.M. Preceded in death by parents Leonard and Edith Day and brother JM Day. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbie; daughter, April Cosby and son-in-law, Jim Cosby; siblings, Nancy (Hugh) Pinney, Hurst Day and Tahna (Larry) Pasqua; sister-in-law, Geneva Day; many other family members and friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Chaplain James Meacham officiating.
