Lena Marie Nelson Quandahl developed severe arthritis in her lower limbs and could not walk unassisted. As reported, she was down by the creek before/after her second child, Ellen Julia Opheim, was born and became chilled and all of the afterbirth was not discharged after Ellen's birth, resulting in her arthritis [and small family?].
