Family:Henry Ingeman Opheim and Lena Nelson Quandahl (1)

Henry Nels Ingman Opheim was raised near Quandahl, IA. He went to Ada, MN to work. He was called back to help at the Quandahl store (letters: RELuehr). He married Lena Marie Nelson Quandahl whose father owned the store. Henry and Lena were renting land near Iowa River when their secon child, Ellen Julia Opheim was born in 1899. They bought a farm near Quandahl in 1903. (Stature: 5'9")

In later life both he and his wife Lena lived with daughter Ellen and her spouse, Bert Luehr, on their farm near Black Hammer, Houston, Minnesota.
