In 1920 Laurence was listed as a "Catcher" in the steel plant and mother Rosa plus brother Richard were living here. Brother in law, Robert A. Quinn, born 1905, was living with sister Edna & Laurence in 1930. At that time Laurence was a WW I vet and had moved up to "Inspector" at a factory. They all lived in Perry Court, off Wooster Road. Also known as Hime Harmon. WED 50 YEARS- Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence G. Harmon, 57, Rambleside Dr., whose 50th wedding anniversary is tomorrow, will celebrate the occasion in April when their daughter, Mrs. John Oswalt, returns from Morocco where her husband is a captain in the U.S. Air Force. They also are the parents of Mrs. Nick Cianci, Edward Harmon and Robert Gene Harmon, all of Mansfield. There are 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Harmons were married Feb. 11, 1913, in Sellersburg, Ind. Mr. Harmon is a retired employee of the Westinghouse Electric Corp. LAWRENCE HARMON- Lawrence Gilbert Harmon, 85, of 57 Rambleside Dr. died Tuesday morning in Mansfield General Hospital following an extended illness. He was born March 1, 1894, in Elwood, Ind., and had lived in the Mansfield area most of his life. Mr. Harmon was a retired employee of the White-Westinghouse Electric Corp. and served four years on the Madison school board. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Feb. 11, 1979. Surviving are his wife: Edna Almeda Harmon; two sons, Edward of Tempe, Ariz., and Robert of Mansfield; two daughters, Mrs. John (Madonna) Oswalt of Tempe, Ariz., and Mrs. Nick (Ruth) Cianci of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one brother, Richard of Elwood, Ind. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of the Wappner Funeral Directors by the Rev. Ronald Emptage, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene. Burial willl be in the Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The VFW will hold military services at graveside. References
