Birth recorded in SAA, Register 42, No. 26.

He arrived in the US on September 24, 1913 at Ellis Island on the Bremen out of Bremen. He was traveling with his little half brother, Josef. They went to Harrisburg to their friend, Daniel Schmidt at what looks to be 1224 Lev Street. He had $30, was 5' 7", was blond and had brown eyes.

His wife joined him in Harrisburg at 605 Cameron St. She arrived with son, Georg, on December 17, 1913 on the Bremen Ship. She came in via Ellis Island.

According to Katherine Wagner Keller, Konrad lived in America and he got infected with TB. He figured he was going to die so he wanted to go home to Semlak. His chances would, most likely, have been better to have stayed in the US -- but he didn't believe that. Katherine says they lived in Rochester on Hawkins Street in a brick apartment building. It was the only building of its kind on the street at that time. She remembers dancing with Konrad's son, George (see his notes).
