    IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Lee Crumrine was born on June 26, 1926 in Rose; Woodson County, Kansas to parents: Fred and Faye (Hutchinson) Crumrine. Kenneth attended school in Greene; Butler County, Iowa. Kenneth served his country honorably in the Pennsylvania Guard Army Engineers from 1950-1953. On January 15, 1963 Ken was united in marriage to Mayre Louise Harris at his brother and sister-in-law's home in Barrington; Cook County, Illinois. After Ken was born, his family moved to Greene, Iowa to escape the drought and depression. They then moved to Clarksville; Butler County, Iowa where Ken lived his childhood. The family then moved to the southside of Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. Ken's family then settled in Gladbrook; Tama County, Iowa in 1946. Gladbrook became his permanent home, except during retirement, when Ken and Mayre became winter residents of Florida. In 1955, Ken and Dale Osten began their custom home building business "Crumrine and Osten Builders" along with long-time employee Don Hasselmann. Ken was a member of the VFW, Gladbrook Water Board, Gladbrook Town Council, Gladbrook Wrestling Boosters Club and the Cub Scouts. He thoroughly enjoyed camping with his friends and family, fishing and spending quality time with his friends, wife, children and grandchildren. Ken will be greatly missed by all who knew and continue to love him.
