WOLFE CITY " Roy A. Crumrine, 83, of Fort Myers, Fla. died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at Salem United Methodist Church in Barrington, Ill. at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Sam Batt officiating. Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
Born Sep. 5, 1917 in Buffalo, Kan., he was the son of Fred and Faye Hutchinson Crumrine. He married Charlotte Adams on Aug. 4, 1942 in Olympia, Wash.
Mr. Crumrine was a veteran, serving in World War II. He was a retired builder, realtor and was director of Public Works in Barrington, Ill. He was a member of Olga Fort Myers Shores First United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, Fla. and Salem United Methodist Church in Barrington, Ill.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Margaret White of Wolfe City, Suzanne Peters of Angier, N.C. and Patricia Willer of Barrington, Ill.; three sons, Robert Crumrine of Barrington, Ill., James Crumrine of Manila, Phillipines and Jon Crumrine of McLean, Va.; a sister, Neva Poland of Iowa; brother Kenneth Crumrine of Gladbrook, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Brian Crumrine, Bill White, Roy A. Crumrine II, Jon Crumrine, Tod Sadorf, Mathew White, Benjamin Sadorf and Ryan Sadorf.
