    Obituary

    Katherine Lewis Buckhout, a lifelong Upper Nyack resident died on Monday, August 12, 2002. She was 92 born to Byron and Sarah Lewis in 1910. She was a lifelong resident of Upper Nyack, and a pillar of the Old Stone Church on North Broadway in Upper Nyack. In 1928 she married Ralph H. Buckhout Sr who predeceased her in 1975. She is also predeceased by two brothers, Elmer (Bud) Lewis and Robert P. Lewis, as well as two sisters, Clara Lewis and Marion Barber. She is survived by three loving sons, Ralph H. Jr and wife, Alice of New City, Robert and his wife, Brenda of Upper Nyack, and LeRoy and his wife, Dawna of Upper Nyack. Also by her grandchildren, Joseph of Thousand Oaks, CA, Lynne and James of Upper Nyack, David of West Nyack, Andrew of Taylors, SC, Steven of Charlotte, NC, Christine of Pomona, and Debbie Serphillips of West Haven, CT, also survived by nine great grandchildren. Funeral Services to be held on Thursday morning at 10 am at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Nyack with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are planned on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
